New Year, New You! 5 Resolutions That Will Actually Improve Your Life

New Year, New You! 5 Resolutions That Will Actually Improve Your Life

We all start the new year with the best intentions. It’s a great time to reevaluate our goals and priorities to make sure we’re living a life we’re proud of while always striving to be a better version of ourselves. However, 80% of New Year’s resolutions are abandoned by February. Why is it so hard to stick to our resolutions? It seems to boil down to three things:

  • They aren’t specific. Vague goals, like “lose weight”, are easier to give up on. The best goals have specific, measurable results and clear markers of progress to keep you motivated throughout the year.
  • They aren’t positive. It’s not uncommon to resolve to “stop” doing something, whether it’s “stop eating junk food” or “stop wasting time”. Instead of focusing on what you shouldn’t do, reframe those goals as things you’ll start doing for a more positive approach.
  • They aren’t about you. Some of the most common resolutions, like weight-loss and career-related goals, are more about fitting into what others expect of you instead of what you truly want. Make sure your resolutions are specific to you and what you need to live your ideal life.

Need some help coming up with better goals this year? Check out the inspiration below as a jumping-off point for creating your own unique, impactful, and achievable resolutions.

5 Resolutions That Will Actually Improve Your Life

Implement An Evening Ritual

Evening rituals are a great way to calm your mind and body before bed, helping you fall asleep more easily and setting a positive tone for the following day. Even just 30 minutes every evening to put away electronic devices, journal, read, and sip on a mug of Golden Superfood Bliss can be enough to make a difference. *

Start A Meditation Practice

Just 10 minutes a day is all it takes to start feeling the powerful effects of a meditation practice. Daily meditation helps us shift from fight-or-flight into rest-and-digest and has been shown to help relieve anxiety, improve mood, and even boost immunity. It also makes it easier to handle the daily stressors of modern day life.

Prioritize Gut Health

Gut health affects the entire body, so prioritizing it is a great way to support your overall health. In addition to adding more fiber-rich, whole foods into your diet, supplementing with a Probiotic is a great way to improve gut-health and, in turn, boost immune health, improve digestion, reduce occasional bloating, and feel energized. *

Commit To 8 Hours Of Sleep

The benefits of getting a full 8 hours of sleep a night are well known. From improving your immune and heart health to boosting mood and productivity, it’s worth making a resolution to get a good night’s rest. An evening ritual can help but you can even start slowly by going to bed just 15 minutes earlier each week until you hit that 8-hour goal.

Move Your Body Every Day

Many people resolve to hit the gym regularly in the new year. And while that’s a worthy goal, it can also feel daunting if you’re just starting out. You can set yourself up for success by simply committing to move your body every single day. Whether that’s a walk in nature, a yoga session, or a dance party with your kids, find the activities that bring you joy and get moving.

The new year is a great time to reflect on where you’ve been and implement positive changes to improve your quality of life. As you close out 2020, why not brew yourself a nice mug of Cacao Bliss and take some time to decide what simple-yet-powerful resolutions will make a difference in your life.

Started with Cacao Bliss which I love and then decided to try Golden Superfood Bliss which is really delicious and I mix it into walnut milk. I have been mixing these into nut milk but the cacao can also be put into coffee which is a little different but also good. Just ordered the Chai Bliss and am eager to try it. am sure it will also be good and I love that they are healthy formulas to help us keep feeling well and give us energy.I

Those New Year goal ideas are so great. I love being positive about my specific goals. I love Cacao Bliss. I have it every day for a chocolate smooth delight in some almond milk and hot water. Golden Bliss is my go to at night in some warm tea. I just ordered Island Bliss and can’t wait to try it. They say it is sweet and that will be a welcome change from the green powder I am using now.
