Adaptogens—it’s a buzz word we’ve likely all heard about. From some of the most popular adaptogenic herbs (like ashwagandha, maca, and holy basil), we’re breaking down exactly what you need to know about the hype and how these herbs may help you unleash your inner calm. 

What Are Adaptogens?

So what even are adaptogens? You can think about adaptogenic herbs like your new stress-relieving BFF. But seriously, adaptogens are pretty amazing because these powerful herbs have been found to help support the body’s stress response

They can help promote homeostasis (aka balance) and help increase our body’s resistance to stress, keeping us out of that burnout and totally exhausted state that comes with periods of chronic stress.

How to Add Adaptogens to Your Current Routine
